Middle East – vegetable glasshouse

Westland Greenhouse Projects was assigned by BayWa – Al Dahra Agriculture to develop a high-tech greenhouse project in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.

The almost 12-hectare Al Dahra BayWa facility is divided in two production greenhouses of 5 hectares each, plus a hybrid compartment for both production and propagation accompanied by an area for packing, irrigation and staff.

In full production, over 3,500 tonnes of snacking tomatoes will be produced with the aim of making the country more self-sufficient.

The construction of the facility is characterized by the use of innovative concepts and advanced know-how which is required to be able to grow year-round fresh vegetables in the challenging climate of UAE.
